To Blog or Not to Blog

To say this past year has been a whirlwind for us would be the understatement of the century. In a years time I have managed to graduate nursing school, move twice, buy a home, get married, start a new job, and get a new puppy... whew! How I am still standing I have no idea but I am! Since my life has always been so incredibly busy, once this past year slowed down I realized that I had a LOT of free time. With nursing being full time at three days a week, I realized that I could only cook, clean, and binge watch Netflix so much before I realized that my life felt pretty unfulfilling and boring. I was so used to going a million miles an hour I had no IDEA what to do with all of this free time I now had. I also realized that the things I used to be passionate about had faded into the background during nursing school.

As I started to fall back into a routine, Alex (my wonderful husband), encouraged me to make a list of hobbies I wanted to try or things that I was passionate about. It was so hard to think of anything to put down! As I took a few days to think and ponder, I realized that my love for writing and my love for people were at the top of the list of things I was passionate about.

So here I am a few months later, starting a blog. A new hobby. I am by no means an expert and I am definitely not what I would call tech savvy but I will say that this blog has been the first real hobby that I have been excited about in quite awhile. For right now, it will just be a hobby, but I am so excited to see where it takes me and the people that I hope it will help introduce me to!

Since I have been working on this for a few weeks, I have noticed how much more excited I am about exploring new places and things to do here in Everett! Since I grew up in Edmonds and we are now living in Everett, I found myself spending more time wishing I was back in Edmonds than excited about finding fun places in Everett that are fun and new. I had to get it out of my head that Everett was "ghetto" and find the hidden gems and places that are truly so amazing! I can't wait to share them with all of you.

Thank you for reading and checking me out! If ever you want to chat, think we would work well together, or just want to say hi always feel free to reach out!

XO
